December Books & Hooks Selection

It’s so exciting to think I’ve been running this little club for nearly 7 months now! As things get busy for everyone, I know it’s a bit harder to dive into a book or crochet some things for yourself, but I think the picks for this month are perfect for just that!

When I read this review for this month’s book, I knew it had to be December:

“A beautiful fable, an It’s a Wonderful Life for the modern age – impossibly timely when we are all stuck in a world we wish could be different.” —Jodi Picoult, author of My Sister’s Keeper

Book Selection: The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

In case it’s out of stock, you can also order here: Bookshop.org They give a portion of every sale to independent booksellers (you can even pick the bookseller you want the money to go to). (Thanks for the tip, Suzy!)

While it may not be the most Christmas-y book, anything reminiscent of It’s a Wonderful Life has to be magical, right?

As for the pattern, I’m so very excited to share that there are actually FOUR you can choose from. Christina from Christina Ann Studios has graciously offered a 50% discount code for any of her four Christmas Ornament patterns, which include all of these below. Be sure to check your email for the special code just for Books & Hooks Members.

You can get the patterns on any of these platforms:

I can attest to how quickly these ornaments work up and just how beautiful they all are! Bernat Softee Baby Cotton is great for the tree/star Snowbound ornaments and can be found here.

Finally, be sure to check out KnitPicks for some great cotton yarns.

A HUGE thank you to Christina for providing the patterns this month. I can’t wait to see all of your makes and talk about the book with you all.
